The annual BAF Horticultural Show will take place on Sunday 18 August, with staging taking place on Saturday 17 August.  This year the Show is being held at Martin Primary School, Plane Tree Walk, East Finchley N2 9JP.  There is good parking provision by the school and parking is available in the High Road.

Community Meeting
The next Community Meeting will be held on 21st July at 11am at Gordon Road Allotments. Please bring along ideas about looking after your plot or garden when you go away in the summer. What happens to the produce you’ve grown?

The Annual FHS Summer BBQ will take place on Sunday July 28th at 1.30pm. Children and families are welcome. We charge £5 for FHS members and £7 for guests. Please see June Brookes, Gordon Road Allotment Secretary if you would like to come along. Brent Way and Nethercourt Avenue members can book through their own Allotment Secretaries. This is always an enjoyable social event and the food is amazing especially as we ask you to bring along a salad or a sweet! Look out for the advert in the Summer Grapevine newsletter.

A visit has been arranged on Saturday 22nd June to the above gardens. The luxury coach leaves Regents Park Road (just up from Henlys Corner) at 9.00am. Return should be around 6.00pm.

Our Annual Plant Sale will be held on Sunday 26th and Monday 27th May from 10.30 – 1.30. Vegetable plants, annuals and perennials.

This year’s Christmas Social will be held on Sunday 16th December from 11:00am until 1.00pm in the Piggery Tea Hut.      There will be mince pies,mulled wine and soft drinks.    This is a free event.  Do come along and bring members of your family.

SUNDAY 4TH NOVEMBER

Try Tony’s famous pumpkin soup on Sunday 4th November at  Gordon Road Allotments.  It starts at 4.00pm but there won’t be any fireworks  at this event.  All FHS members and their children are welcome.   Please let June Brooks know if you are coming.   jayemjaybee@btinternet.com
